Manufacturing Process

Step 1: Order and Design

According to customer requirements, pressure class, size, material, and applicable standards are confirmed first. The engineering team then prepares drawings and technical specifications for the asme check valve, ensuring the design meets ASME and project requirements.

Step 2: Forging & Casting

The main pressure-bearing parts such as body, bonnet, and disc are produced by forging or casting based on the valve type and material grade. For an asme check valve, all raw materials must comply with relevant material standards and undergo initial inspection before further processing.

Step 3: Machining

After casting or forging, the components are machined by CNC and conventional machines. Critical dimensions such as flange faces, seat pocket, bore, and sealing surfaces of the asme check valve are precisely processed to ensure proper fit-up and sealing performance.

Step 4: Assembly

All finished parts are cleaned and assembled according to the approved procedure. Internal components such as disc, hinge pin, seat, gasket, and bonnet are installed carefully to make sure the asme check valve operates smoothly and reliably.

Step 5: Testing & Quality Assurance

Each valve is subjected to dimensional inspection, pressure testing, and sealing performance testing in accordance with ASME/API requirements. For every asme check valve, hydrostatic shell test and seat leakage test are carried out to guarantee safety and quality.

Step 6: Painting and Finishing

After testing, the valve surface is cleaned, painted, marked, and packed. Final finishing includes nameplate checking, protective end covers, and export-ready packaging before shipment.

Applications

Keep the water flowing in the correct direction at the pump outlet. Centrifugal pumps are one of the commonly used types of water pumps, but they are not self-priming pumps (they cannot discharge air from the pipe before operation), so the check valve can maintain the water flow until the air in the pump separates from the incoming water and is discharged.

Used in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, especially in larger buildings. These systems may need to pump coolant to multiple floors, and the check valve plays an important role in resisting the force of gravity, ensuring that the coolant does not flow back.
