Step 1: Order and Design
Technical requirements for the ASME gate valve are confirmed based on the pressure rating, dimensions, material, and connection standards provided by the customer. The engineering department performs drawing design, structural verification, and process review in accordance with ASME standards to ensure the product meets operating conditions and manufacturing specifications.

Step 2: Forging & Casting
Major pressure-bearing components, such as the valve body, bonnet, and gate, are formed using forging or casting processes. For ASME gate valves, raw materials must comply with the relevant ASTM/ASME material standards. Blanks undergo inspections for chemical composition, dimensions, and surface quality to ensure stability during subsequent machining.

Step 3: Machining
Precision machining is performed on the valve body, bonnet, gate, stem, and connection areas, including turning, boring, drilling, tapping, and sealing surface machining. Critical dimensions of the ASME gate valve, such as the flange faces, seat sealing surfaces, and stem mating surfaces, must be strictly controlled for tolerances and surface roughness.

Step 4: Assembly
After all components pass inspection, the assembly process begins, sequentially installing the seat, gate, stem, bonnet, packing, and operating mechanism. During assembly, the opening and closing travel, coaxiality, and seal fit must be inspected to ensure the ASME gate valve operates smoothly and opens and closes effortlessly.

Step 5: Testing & Quality Assurance
After assembly, the ASME gate valve undergoes strength testing, seal testing, and necessary torque checks. Testing is generally conducted in accordance with API 598 or relevant ASME/MSS requirements. Simultaneously, dimensional re-inspection, material traceability, and final visual inspection are conducted to ensure reliable product quality.

Step 6: Painting and Finishing
After passing inspection, the valve surface is cleaned, treated with rust prevention, painted, and marked. Finally, the nameplate and protective cover are installed, and the valve is packaged for shipment to ensure proper protection during transportation and storage, as well as compliance with delivery requirements.
