Rubber lined diaphragm valve is specially used to control common and highly corrosive media. The inner surface of the valve body is lined with different types of rubber or fluoroplastics, which can be selected according to different working temperatures and fluid conditions. It features high strength and excellent corrosion resistance.
The diaphragm valve is a special type of shut-off valve:
• The elastic sealing element for opening and closing can effectively prevent internal leakage.
• The straight-through flow path ensures minimal pressure loss.
• It does not use a packing box, eliminating the risk of leakage.
• The body and bonnet are separated by the diaphragm, preventing the bonnet and stem from being corroded by the medium.
• The diaphragm is replaceable, resulting in low maintenance costs.
• Various lining materials can be used to suit different media, offering high strength and strong corrosion resistance.

Step 1: Order and Design
Confirm the customer’s requirements, including size, pressure rating, flange standard, body material, lining material, and diaphragm material. For the rubber lined diaphragm valve, engineers prepare drawings and verify the lining structure and sealing design before production.

Step 2: Forging & Casting
The valve body and bonnet are produced by casting or forging according to the design specification. For a rubber lined diaphragm valve, the body surface must be suitable for later rubber lining, with no cracks, sand holes, or serious casting defects.

Step 3: Machining
After casting inspection, the body, bonnet, flange faces, and connection parts are machined. Accurate machining is very important for the rubber lined diaphragm valve to ensure proper assembly dimensions, sealing performance, and smooth operation.

Step 4: Assembly
The rubber lining is bonded or molded inside the valve body, then the diaphragm, compressor, stem, bonnet, and handwheel are assembled step by step. During assembly of the rubber lined diaphragm valve, special attention is paid to diaphragm positioning and sealing tightness.

Step 5: Testing & Quality Assurance
Each rubber lined diaphragm valve undergoes pressure testing, sealing testing, lining inspection, and operation testing. Quality control checks the valve’s appearance, dimensions, lining adhesion, and overall performance to ensure compliance with standards.

Step 6: Painting and Finishing
After final inspection, the external surface is cleaned, painted, marked, and packed. The finished valve is labeled with size, pressure class, material, and batch information before shipment.

This valve is suitable for use in the chemical, petroleum, and pharmaceutical industries, and can handle strong acids, strong alkalis, and media containing particles. Its nominal pressure range is 0.6–1.6 MPa.
These valves are widely used in:
